Project SCRUB is being developed as a modern, high-capacity industrial laundry facility, designed to support demanding operational requirements through efficient planning, durable construction, and strong engineering coordination from the earliest stages. Facilities of this nature are highly specialized. They are not simply industrial buildings — they are operational environments where structure, function, workflow, and long-term performance all need to work together from day one.
As Lead Consultant, NNCES is responsible for steering the engineering vision of the project and supporting its delivery from the ground up. Our involvement covers the development of the structural design, coordination with the wider project team, and ensuring that the project moves forward on a sound technical basis aligned with both operational and regulatory requirements.
Following the successful completion of the approvals process, site works commenced at the end of January. Since then, progress has moved steadily, with foundation works now underway and the site beginning to take clear shape. Seeing construction start on a project of this scale is always significant, but on Project SCRUB it carries particular importance for our team, as it marks one of our key steps forward in the new-build sector.
NNCES has built a strong reputation through complex structural assessments, strengthening schemes, and rehabilitation works across the UAE. Project SCRUB shows another side of our business — our ability to lead and deliver major projects from inception, not only to intervene when structures require repair or recovery, but to help create them from the beginning.
